Labyrinth – January 13, 2019

New Year Labyrinth
The labyrinth is an ancient practice – a journey into a maze-like pattern and back out again.   Today, it is often a quiet practice, a walk of reflection for each person.  Once, it may have been used for a communal celebration akin to a spiral dance.  Our labyrinth is becoming an annual event.  We first created it for the New Year’s weekend of 2011-12.  We had open hours for anyone who wanted to try walking the labyrinth and a worship service in which we walked quietly as well as danced joyously through the labyrinth.  We also celebrated a wedding in the labyrinth.

In 2018 we had our annual labyrinth service on January 14th (photo above, right).

In 2019 the labyrinth service will be on Sunday, January 13, at 10 am.
