"A Ship in the Harbor is Safe, But..." a Spiritual Exploration of Risk

with Tuckerman Wunderle

The transition between March and April marks a time when all forms of life, human and non-human, must employ the concept of "calculated risk."

Should I start my peas, or should I buy another cord of firewood? Should I push out buds in preparation for spring leaves, or is it better to wait another week? Is it really time to wake up from my cozy bear nap?

Regardless of what challenges you face this spring, together let us explore what the act of taking risks can teach us about living spiritually fulfilled lives in an increasingly uncertain world.

Our Affirmation:
Love is the doctrine of this church
The quest for truth is its sacrament
And service is its prayer
To dwell together in peace
To seek knowledge in freedom
To serve the needs of all beings
To the end that all souls shall
Grow into harmony with the Divine
Thus do we covenant with each other
And with the source of our being
